Who Is The Undercover Beaner?

The Undercover Beaner is the fully integrated Chicano. Educated, assimilated in to the mainstream of this country, he is as fully invested in the myth of The American Dream as the rest of us are. But unlike the angry white mob that make up the tea party movement, he is able to see through the fog of the partisan spin machine. With a mind open to ideas and solutions and closed to hate and ignorance, The Undercover Beaner hopes to provide at least one prism through which the all the bullshit and spin can be filtered out and the plain truth on the complex issues facing our world can be discussed, debated, and digested by individuals from all backgrounds and viewpoints.

The Undercover Beaner is a man with a sense of humor. Many of the issues that seem to get people the most riled up also have a great deal of humor lurking around the edges of the debate. The Undercover Beaner hopes to use humor to bring more transparency to the ridiculousness that actually passes for debate in today's America.

The Undercover Beaner appreciates perspective. He understands that to fully grasp an issue and those that stand on the opposite side, one must accept the nuances that perspective can bring. It is not enough to simply understand what someone is saying. It is important to understand why they are saying it Perspective, where they are coming from, is often the best way to understand why someone feels so strongly about an issue. The Undercover Beaner wants to bring more than just his own perspective to the topics we will be covering. That is why I am contributing to this site and why others will in the future.

From local zoning regulations to Federal Civil Rights Policy, we want to give a voice to regular guy out there that has a brain, wants to use it and is tired of having the wool pulled over his/her eyes. We're progressives, but we don't play games and we don't spin.

He is educated, intelligent, and tired of the way that the ruling class have run the middle class deeper into the ground with every passing day of his life. His voice will be an antidote to the propaganda machine that both party's use so well to protect the interests of so few.
